Trimming lines
CAD programs provide many ways of entering lines and so far we have concentrated on entering the exact distances. However,
sometimes it is easier to enter objects which are placed correctly in relation to each other but the start and end points are
only approximately positioned.
As in the case of the arc it was easier to position a circle and then remove parts we don't want.
Object to be drawn
One way to draw the above shape is as shown in the next image

All of the lines in the drawing are selected for trimming and the parts of the drawing to be removed are selected.

Once a portion of a line is removed another can be selected for deletion.

The drawing is finished off by continuing to select each part of each object that is not required.
